Being in the business of love, it is always nice to hear a happy ending.
Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady, once the world’s highest paid supermodel and once named the luckiest man alive, respectively, will be celebrating their wedding anniversary this weekend, counting 3 years of wedded bliss.
Although Bundchen had ended her longtime, on-and-off-again relationship with movie star Leonardo DiCaprio, Brady was still involved with girlfriend Bridget Moynahan when the two met, garner censor from the public at times.
However, by early January of 2009 it was announced that the two were engaged, with a source close to the family confirming the news with PEOPLE Magazine.
“He asked and she accepted,” the source said. Brady proposed with the perfect engagement ring for the runway superstar; a 4 carat, Round cut diamond solitaire, reportedly worth $100,000.
“The couple is discussing a huge fashionista event in the spring or a more intimate and quicker ceremony in Costa Rica, where Gisele has a home,” The source further shared with the celebrity new source.
The couple ended up exchanging wedding rings in at the St. Monica church in Santa Monica, California, but due to their desire for secrecy the coupe told family and friends they were actually gathering for a christening, surprising them with the wedding. Their first wedding that is.
The couple did end up tying the knot again a couple of months later, this time at Bundchen’s Costa Rica home, and while it was not a secret this time around, the details were still tightly guarded.
The bride wore a sleek, elegant gown designed especially for her by Dior designer, John Galliano, according to PEOPLE.
“The dress and veil were designed by John Galliano and created by John Galliano’s atelier in Paris,” his reps told the magazine. “A white silk satin bias cut long gown with spaghetti straps and train, with scalloped seamed details around the hip.”
Three years later, which is sometimes quitting time in Hollywood, the couple has had a son, Benjamin Rein Brady, and still pictured happily wearing their wedding rings; hers a diamond pave’ set band, and his a classic, unadorned men’s band.
The glamorous couple were recently spotted out at a AsweeT Boutique dark chocolate bar to celebrate the NFL player’s birthday, but the real question is will they celebrate their anniversary this weekend or in April? Either way, we wish them a Happy Anniversary.
