Love must be in the spring air as yet another star has announced her engagement. Reality star Kristin Cavallari recently returned from a short Mexican vacation with her boyfriend Jay Cutler, who plays for the Chicago Bears, sporting a brand new engagement ring.
Although the couple has only been dating eight months, friends say that the two could not be more perfect for one another, and Cavallari herself opened up to People recently about their relationship.
“I’m in love… and it’s been great,’ she told the publication earlier this year.
A friend of the couple told reporters that Cutler had surprised the 24 year old reality star with a trip to Cabo San Lucas over the Easter weekend in order to pop the question. Once the news broke the couple hid in their resort, but was quickly spotted at the airport on the way back.
Cavallari recently took to her Twitter page to confirm the rumors. “I can finally tell everyone that I’M ENGAGED!” she wrote and later thanked her fans for their support.
Cavallari is most well known for her time on the MTV reality show Laguna Beach, and later when she was brought into replace onetime nemesis Lauren Conrad on the show The Hills. Over her years on television, Cavallari was involved with costar Brody Jenner, who is also connected to another well-known reality family, the Kardashians, through his father Bruce Jenner.
For someone who earned her fame through reality TV, Cavallari has been pretty tightlipped about the upcoming nuptials; however she was spotted leaving the gym wearing her new 5.2 carat diamond solitaire engagement ring.
